I've set all kinds of goals! Time I get real. For me, BMI at 25 is 135 pounds so I need to lose 45 pounds.
But there is more to the story. I am
also a diabetic and take five medications to manage my health. I
asked my doctor a couple of years ago how I could eliminate some of
these pills? He advised me to lose 20 pounds. According to
Sherri Shafer's, Diabetes Type 2 Complete Food Management Program,2001, “Losing 10 – 20 pounds can greatly improve blood sugar
control because weight loss allows your body's insulin to work
better.” I should have lost the 20 pounds back then but I didn't
and now my doctor wants to add another medication!
So now I am blogging through another
weight loss journey.
